1. LED strip light indoor installation:

  • Because there is no need to withstand the wind and rain, so the installation of LED strip light is very simple. Self-adhesive 3M double-sided tape is attached to the back of each LED light strip. When installing, you can directly tear the sticker on the surface of the 3M double-sided tape, and then fix the light strip at the place where it needs to be installed and press it flat with your hand. As for some places need corner or is long, the strip light can be cut off and used alone.

2. LED strip light outdoor installation:

  • To prevent LED strip lights from falling off due to the effect of wind and rain, 3M glue tape is often used. However, after a while the stickiness of 3M tapes will decrease, causing LED strips to fall off. To solve this problem, outdoor installations often use slot or track—cutting and connecting are done in the same way as indoor installations, with the exception that waterproof glue is needed to consolidate waterproof connections.

3. Other considerations for the installation of LED strip lights

When the strip light is installed, it is generally put in the aluminum profile or directly put on the wall. To be installed externally or vertically, the product requires additional clips and tail plugs. The original clip is fully transparent. It is best to install the tail plug and plug in the waterproof glass glue so that the waterproof performance is better.

LED running strip light and RGB full-color strip light can change their colors using the controller, and the control distance of each controller is not the same. In general, simple controllers can control lights up to 15 meters away, while remote controllers can be controlled up to 20 meters away; the longest ones can be controlled up to 30 meters away. If the LED strip is connected over a long distance and the controller cannot control the length of the strip, then a power amplifier will be used for splintering.

The connection distance of LED strip light should be taken into account.

 If the installation exceeds this distance, the LED strip is easily heated and will affect the service life of the LED light during use. Therefore, the installation must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements for installation.

Troubleshooting:Why the lights don't work?

1. The packaging protection of the LED flexible strip light is not perfect, which causes the LED chips to be hit and damaged during transportation.

2. The welding point of the LED flexible strip light is not solid, and the vibration in the transportation process causes the solder joint to fall off, which leads to the failure of light.

3. LED flexible strip light bending angle is too large during the installation, which results in the separation of the solder joint and copper foil.

4. Electrostatic burning. LED is an electrostatic-sensitive element, so without electrostatic protection measures will lead to chip burning.
